My name is Jodi -- I offer consulting, coaching and specialized courses for Founders, Start-ups & Industry Leaders who are ready to level-up their business by strategically developing, building & positioning themselves and their business with a strong foundation.

Through my own business ventures, mentoring connections and roles through municipal small business centres, I have worked with and supported over 5,000 Founders over the last 10 years and have provided guidance in areas such as business planning and strategy development, goal setting, productivity and organization, hiring and capacity management, financial accountability and growth, funding acquisition, succession planning, marketing strategy development, as well as operations including business structure registration and working with municipal departments including licensing, zoning and building.

I firmly believe and advocate that self-employment is a legitimate alternative to traditional employment.

Fit is essential when choosing a business consultant / coach / mentor / strategist to add to your network. They will not only be your planning partner and cheerleader but also will hold you accountable to the goals and plans that you want to achieve.

My area of expertise includes working with entrepreneurs who are in the start-up or post-startup (18 months to 3 years) phase and looking to create a growth strategy that will take their business from start-up to sustainable.

Here are two examples of business owners that I specialize in working with:

1. You started your business a few years ago and have had some success. You have proven that there is a market for your product or service and have made sales. Everything has been going really well and now - all of a sudden - you feel like you’re in a slump. You feel stuck and overwhelmed because you don’t know what your next step is to regain your momentum. You may be even feeling burnt out because you’ve signed up for courses and tried running ads and been more active on social media but nothing is really clicking and you’re exhausted. You’re tired of spinning your wheels with no results.

2. You have been running your business for 12+ months and it is doing really well - so well, in fact, that you are bursting at the seams. You are so busy and don’t feel like you have the time to do the administration tasks or even take on more clients. You have stopped, or are considering stopping, all advertising and marketing because you are already feeling overwhelmed with the amount of time you are spending every day and week on your business. Additionally, when you think about growing, it makes you nervous or worried because you’ve never hired before or researched moving into a commercial space, much less understanding the financial requirements needed to grow your business to it’s next phase.
